Cranberry Orange Sauce
Serves 16

4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries (1 pound)
2 cups orange juice                                                                                                     1 cinnamon stick
2 cups sugar

Rinse the cranberries in a strainer with cool water, and remove any stems or
blemished berries.

Heat the orange juice, cinnamon stick and sugar to boiling in the saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Continue boiling 5 minutes longer, stirring
occasionally.

Stir in the cranberries. Heat to boiling over medium heat, stirring
occasionally. Continue boiling about 5 minutes longer, stirring
occasionally, until cranberries begin to pop. Remove the saucepan from the
heat, and pour the sauce into a bowl or container. Remove cinnamon stick. Refrigerate about 3 hours or until chilled.
 

 

Don't buy it, make it.  This soooooo easy dish will wake up your tired old stand by cranberry sauce.  Your family will actually eat this one.
