When she
was nine years old, Norie’s favorite TV stars were
Julia Child and The Galloping Gourmet, but it wasn’t
until later in life that she became comfortable in
the kitchen. Julia Child said, “I never cooked until
I was 36. Up till then I only ate.”
In 1999
Norie entered San Jacinto College School of Culinary
Arts to pursue her passion for cooking and her dream
of becoming a chef. After she graduated with a
degree in Culinary Arts she has continued her
education with studies in Nutrition.
After
joining Personal Chefs Network, Norie launched
Chef Norie Personal Chef
Service in July 2000. She has been
successfully serving hungry clients in Texas ever
since. Norie’s culinary training and experience in
the kitchen has led to many exciting opportunities
working with well known chefs such as Tyler
Florence, Martin Yan, Dorothy Huang and Steven
Raichlen in addition to the many other talented
cookbook authors and local chefs in the Houston
area. Norie is also a professional culinary
instructor and teaches both hands-on and
demonstration cooking classes in clients homes and

area.
Norie
is an active member of International Association of
Culinary Professionals, Houston Culinary
Guild, Professionals in Culinary Arts, Women Chefs
and Restaurateurs, The Woodlands Chamber of
Commerce, and Personal Chefs Network. Among

"Having to eat gluten-free AND yeast-free has been a
huge and frustrating challenge for me. This is a
major life style change and I could not have done
this without Chef Norie and her services. Her meals
have been delicious and they still meet the strict
guidelines that I must follow. Chef Norie has
been invaluable!!"
